Obituary

Peggy Frances Day Drellishak, 69

Peggy Drellishak passed away peacefully from complications of an eleven-year battle with metastatic breast cancer on November 24, 2010, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Los Angeles on May 23, 1941 and raised in Inglewood, Peggy attended the 54th Street School, Dorsey High School, and University of Southern California. After graduation from USC, she moved to Pasadena and worked at JPL and Xerox Electro-Optical Systems, where she met her husband Kenneth. They were married in 1967.

Peggy was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority and continued to actively support USC as an alumna. While her daughter attended the university, she served as a National Director of the USC Parents? Association and a Gamma Phi Beta Sorority Parents? Club volunteer, all the while cheering wildly for her Trojans football team. She was also active in the Pasadena chapters of National Christ Child Society and the Right to Life League of Southern California.

She is survived by her husband, sons Steve Anne and Scott Renée, daughter Stacey Ganem Steve, granddaughters Rose and Ava, sister Rosemary Vail, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 1st, 2010 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Newport Beach, CA. The Mass will be preceded by a Rosary at 10:00AM and a Viewing at 10:30AM. Burial will immediately follow Mass at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Huntington Beach, CA. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to USC Norris Cancer Center or the charity of your choice.
