Obituary

Pauline Anne Knight
Daughter of William and Anne Sunnick
Born March 29th 1941 – Died August 22nd 2012

Pauline is survived by her husband Terence, two daughters Kim and Jane, grandson Matthew, two sisters June and Valerie.

My mum grew up during the war in London with her 3 sisters and brother.

She spent most of her young adult life riding horses. She was a Champion Show Jumper. This was her greatest passion, winning many trophies and silver cups in the county of Essex.

Terence and Pauline married and had two children 7 years apart. Pauline stayed home to take care of them and was a proud homemaker.

In 1975 her father got sick and after visiting him in the states, she made the decision to move her family to the United States.

She was a supervisor at the San Juan Capistrano Branch of Bimbo Bakeries for 17 years.

  1. Kim… I have been trying to talk to you on the phone. But no luck…I am so sorry for your loss…My first memories of your mum were watching her ride horses. Not sure if it was a race but just remember being out in a field with your mum and Auntie June and my mum, I believe; and your mum was riding. Then there were the times in Summerville Road at Sunday dinner with the family and your mum was laughing. Then later the man would come by selling cockles and winkles and we would have tea. I will miss your mum’s sense of humor and her laugh….Take care and much love…Russell

Hello Brian. You knew Pauline and I knew Valerie way back in 1952 or 3. If you know how I can contact her just to share old memories please pass on my email address….eddiehawk168@telus.net. Thank you.

I was looking for Valerie Sunnick online and found this obituary. It is obvious that Pauline was Valerie’s sister. Sad loss for the family. I would like to contact Valerie Sunnick whom I knew when we were just 15 years old and was part of a very funny story that I have told friends over the years. She was such a nice person and I have never forgotten her. I never wrote it down but I have always remembered that she lived at 23 Summerville Road, Chadwell Heath, Essex. I think I can even remember her phone number. I lived at Buckhurst Hill, Essex and my name is Eddie. She will now be about 75. She attended Southwest Essex Technical College. I can be reached at eddiehawk168@telus.net. I would love to contact her and exchange some memories. Thank you.
