Obituary
Paul Richard Jarecky, age 50, died June 6th from a heart attack while surfing at Doheny State Beach, Dana Point, California.
Paul was the husband of Susan Platt Jarecky and son of Roy and Barbara Jarecky. He is survived by his two children Bryan (wife Kristin) of Dana Point and daughter Allyson of New York City and his brothers Thomas (wife Diane) of Greenville, South Carolina and Carl (wife Pamela and sons Mathew, Sean and Ethan) of Oak Park, California.
Paul was employed by Alliance Health Care Services of Newport Beach, California as Manager of Operations from 1984 to the present. He was born in Lexington, Kentucky September 20, 1962 and attended Sayre School and Lafayette High School.
All who knew him will badly miss his loving, caring and sunny personality.
The burial will be a scattering of ashes in the Pacific Ocean off of Dana Point Harbor on Saturday, June 15th.

I have known Paul professionally for 20 years. We first met when he came to our veterinary practice with the mobile MR unit to image our patients. Paul was one of the nicest, friendliest people I’ve ever met. And he had an awesome sense of humor! We may not have seen each other but every few years after he moved up to management, but our conversations always seemed to pick up where they left off–commiserating about our kids. We whined and complained through the teenage angst years, and got a little wistful after they moved out. (Although neither of us could figure out how we were old enough to have adult children!) He was so very proud of Bryan and Allyson and the adults they’ve become.
I’m glad he left this world doing what he loved, but it was way too soon.
