Obituary

Paul Robert Catalano was born in Rochester, New York on April 23, 1924 and died December 21, 2009 in Mission Viejo, California.

He served in the European Theater in World War II and liberated his father’s hometown of Real Monte, Sicily. He retired as Western Regional Sales Manager of Critikon, a division of Johnson & Johnson.

He dedicated years of his life to volunteer service with the American Heart Association, Mission Hospital Foundation and Mended Hearts Chapter 216 in Mission Viejo, California.

He is deeply loved and dearly missed by his devoted wife, Carol, his children Paulette Kent Greenwald, Camille Ron Raffaniello, and Perry Maria Catalano, his sister Josephine Medina, his sister-in-law Patricia Catalano, 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his best friend and cousin Paul Catalano of Buffalo, New York. He was predeceased by his brother Charles Catalano.

His great loves in life were his family, music and golf. Our loss is great. We will all remember his charm, wit, intelligence, and incredible renditions of ‘O’ Sole Mio.’

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday December 28th at 12:30 PM at St. Killian’s Catholic Church in Mission Viejo. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Mission Hospital Foundation, Cardio Vascular Nursing Education Fund, or Mended Hearts Chapter 216, 28261 Zurburan, Mission Viejo, CA 92692
