Paul came into our French 4 AP class a few times. He never failed to light up the classroom with his quick wit and goofy humor as he told us tales of his life in France.

I visited Mme Mig at home once for dinner with my best friend and he was so pleased to show us around his garden. He was such an amazing person!

  2. Dear Madame Mig, Myriam, and Marnie,

I will always remember Paul’s visits to French classes, his company on my first trip abroad to France, and spending time at your house in Mission Viejo. He shared so much of himself with Madame Mig’s French students, anda always told the most fascinating stories (especially about his time in the Sahara desert!). My connection to you and Paul strengthened my own path to become a French teacher, and he will always be in my heart. You are all in my thoughts, and I am sending much love.

  3. Maureen, Myriam and Marnie,We will remember Paul’s visits to Michigan. He enjoyed talking about and visiting nearby orchards and blueberry farms. Paul reminded us to appreciate the things around us that we sometimes take for granted.
A favorite memory: How our language barrier disappeared when talking about cars and engines: Paul helped me appreciate the beautiful simplicity of our 1962 4-cylinder tractor.

    Dearest Maureen, Marni, and Myriam-

I receive this news of Paul’s passing with the greatest of sadness. Without a doubt, I can say he was one of the good guys, a man who loved his family, a friend who cherished those around him. Paul lived many lives and adventures, These experiences always made their way into conversation and enlivened the many meals we shared in your home. So many memories! How can I choose one? I am sorry that I could not attend the service. But I was able to follow through the video link. I am grateful to have you as friends all these many years. I will always remember and think of Paul. What a special man!

You all are in my thoughts and prayers. It was a precious service and I’m glad I could watch the livestream and feel like I was there with you. My favorite memory is watching Paul and Pastor Walt speak in French and then laugh and laugh.with each other.
