Patrick Reeves Barnard died on January 17, 2024, at Mission Providence Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. He was 74 years old.
Patrick was born April 7, 1949, at Seaside Memorial Hospital, the son of Dorothy Alvira Barnard and George Willard Barnard.
Patrick graduated from Gardena High School in June of 1967. Following graduation, he served his country for thirteen months in I-Company, Third Division of the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.

Much of his career was spent in Orange County, California, working Drug Enforcement with the K9 Unit. For a short time before retiring from his law enforcement career, Patrick enjoyed working with his CHP Officer son Eric.
