Patricia (Pat) Staggs, age 71, passed away May 16th, 2024 in Rancho Mission Viejo, California. Pat is preceded in death by her parents Coy and Junee Staggs and her husband Paul Michael Miszkowicz, Sr. Pat is survived by her brothers Mark and Brian Staggs, her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Sarah Miszkowicz and her grandchildren; James and Mila Miszkowicz.

Pat was born February 25, 1953 in San Jose California. The family moved to Millbrae, California where Pat attended local schools and graduated from Capuchino High School in 1971 where she discovered her interest and talent in drama and art. In 1975, she graduated from the University of Southern California where she served as a tour guide and was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

Pat and Paul Miszkowicz Sr. met in Chicago and got married in Scottsdale, Arizona in May 1983. They lived in Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia before settling in and raising a family in Laguna Niguel, California. Paul Miszkowicz Jr. (PJ) was born in July 1987.

After losing her beloved husband Paul Miszkowicz, Sr. in 1998 she raised Paul Miszkowicz Jr. all on her own. She was incredibly proud of Paul Jr. (PJ) and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her son and grandchildren.

Patricia (Patty) Staggs resided in Rancho Mission Viejo and was a loving, dedicated and FUN Mother and Grandmother. She was the life of the party and lived life to the fullest. She will be remembered for always greeting every day with a smile and for spreading her enthusiasm and joy wherever she went.

Pat’s Celebration of Life will be held at St. Cross Episcopal Church in Hermosa Beach on June 14th at 10am. Aloha vibes for her service as she loved Hawaii (where her mother grew up) and a place she held close to her heart. Please wear bright colors and Hawaiian shirts to celebrate her.
