This was one of the hardest days of my life. But while I was up there talking today I felt your presence mom and that’s what made me able to say what I did. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you in Heaven. Goodnight mom. I love you!

Although we did not know Patti, we learned what an amazing lady she was to the many people who knew and loved her. Our daughter Amy attends the FUTURES program. Both Amy and Patti shared something very personal, their baldness. Amy came home one day saying, “Patti, she bald like me!” It was incredibly brave and sweet of Patti to share this with Amy, and we believe it gave Amy even more confidence in knowing another person without hair. Please know, in your time of sadness and loss, Patti has made a significant difference in our daughter’s life, and she will not be forgotten. We are grateful for the opportunity to have attended such a moving service, to meet her wonderfully caring family, to learn about what a tremendous wife, mother, and giver she was to others. Patti is smiling down on all of the lives she touched.

A few months ago Patti, Kay & I along with many of our students were riding the bus, Patti & Kay were chatting as we rode along. A man got on the bus and then suddenly turned and said “stop the chattering”, Patti said “excuse me?” He said “yes you, stop the chattering” We all looked at each other and the students. We realized this unfortunate man must have a mental illness. Needless to say we were all silent until the man exited the bus and we continued on to our stop. When we got off the bus we explained to the students that we don’t argue with a person on the bus and that he probably was mentally ill. A life lesson was learned. Needless to say, I will miss chatting with Patti on the bus and at school. Patti was a ray of sunshine for all of us in Futures. But I know she is chattering away up in heaven and keeping everyone entertained. Peace to her loving family, Rose Badouin
