Patricia Helene Lach, 87, of Laguna Niguel, California passed away peacefully in her sleep, held in the arms of her life-long love and husband of 64 years, Kelvyn Dale Lach, on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Patricia was born on February 12,1939 in Chicago, Illinois to Helene and Marvin Jellema. She grew up in Chicago with her mother, grandmother and grandfather. She met Kelvyn in high school. They married in 1960 and together raised Donna, Diane and David. The family moved to Mission Viejo, California in 1969 and over the following decades, Kelvyn and Patricia were blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Kelvyn and Patricia shared the last 39 years of life together in Laguna Niguel, California.

Nothing brought Patricia more joy than making her family and friends happy. The needs of others always came before her own, a natural overflow of her deep faith in and love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Patricia enjoyed a successful career in commercial and residential real estate (in partnership with Kelvyn) and later the couple dedicated themselves to serving in their community, in their church, and for their country - as area managers for a nationwide civilian organization that sent care packages and letters to our country’s soldiers stationed in war zones. Her home church, Saint Edward the Confessor, recognized her outstanding dedication and service by honoring her with the title of Woman of the Year for their parish.

One of the things Patricia may be most known for is her love of music, especially show tunes. She had a lovely singing voice and knew all the lyrics to an enormous repertoire of classic and beloved songs. A single word in a conversation could trigger a memory and cause her to break into song on the spot.

We take great joy in knowing that forevermore, she is singing songs of praise to God in Heaven!
