Obituary

Patricia Hultin was born on November 4, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Peter and Marguerite Hansen, and went home to Jesus on December 25, 2015. She had 4 siblings: Michael, Frances, Kenneth, and Larry. Her brothers Michael, Kenneth, and Larry preceded her in death.

She was married to Richard (Dick) Hultin for 54 years and raised 3 children together. She was a loving Mom to Anne, Duane, and Susan; Grandma to 4: David, Phillip, Chelsey, and Melissa, and a very proud Great Grandma to Audrey.

Patricia was a devout Catholic all her life, and had a special affinity for Our Lady, and Jesus in the Divine Mercy. She was a member of the Cursillo Community, having served in just about every role that was available. She was also a very active member in the Orange County Women’s Magnificat Prayer Group, and had a very deep devotion to praying for the souls in purgatory. She was very active in St. Nicholas Parish, serving as a CCD teacher for 3rd and 7th graders for over 30 years, and was very involved in the resettlement activities of the Vietnamese refugees in the early 1970’s.

Patricia was a very fun-loving, faithful, strong and intelligent woman who fiercely loved her family. She fought and beat stage 4 cancer out of sheer will and faith in God and relied on that faith to get her through whatever trial was sent her way. She loved to travel and went on many pilgrimages and was blessed to be able to travel to Russia on one of her many trips.

Her last day with us was spent laughing, loving, and enjoying the family at Christmas Dinner. She was joyful, happy, and at peace. We will always remember her this way. Well done, good and faithful servant. Welcome to Paradise.

  1. Thank you Kathryn – and also I would like to echo Duane’s words. There aren’t enough words to thank you and your staff for how you helped us say goodbye to our Mother – and all the other family members in the past years.

  2. Thank you for your kind words about our Mother.

  3. I think they finally did believe their tall tales! LOL

  4. I remember that day too Susan. Thank GOD you were there. Any time Duane, any time.
