Patricia Anne
Deangelis
March 3, 1937 – April 16, 2021
Patricia Anne De Angelis
Patricia Anne De Angelis passed away peacefully in her home in Laguna Woods California surrounded by her spouse, her children and her grandchildren on April 16, 2021.
She was a fighter to the end. Her will and determination were unparalleled and will forever be one of the many things she will be remembered for. Her best attribute was her sense of humor- her goal was to make everyone laugh! And she was good at it! Mom always laughed when we called her "one tough Polack" so much, so it's engraved on her headstone. Her generosity, kindness and humble nature set an example for others to aspire to. It came easy to her.
Patricia was born in Meriden Connecticut and was the oldest sister of 4 girls. She moved to California in the 1970's where she remained until her passing. She provided a beautiful home and a loving environment for her children. Patricia is survived by her 3 daughters, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchild- her family was the most important part of her life. She became a single parent while her 3 daughters were all under the age of 13 and she raised them to be strong, independent women!
As a grandmother, Patricia was supportive, encouraging and present for the plays, musicals, communions, sports and lives of her 5 grandchildren.
She was a very successful businesswoman, having spent 30 years at Haagen Development Company. She started working for Haagen as the secretary in an office of 5 and worked her way to become their Chief Operating Officer of a growing, 200 plus employee company. Along her journey, she met her 2nd spouse where it was love at first sight. They spent her last 21 years together traveling, dancing, going on cruises and eating their way through the buffets at casinos! Mom loved her casinos!!
We will miss Mom dearly and wish we could keep her here forever. Patricia Anne De Angelis, mom, grandmother, spouse, sister, aunt and friend, your spirit will live on through all of us and through all those whose lives you touched- we are all better people because of you.
We love you Mom!
In lieu of flowers, please send all donations to UCI Mind in memory of Patricia Anne De Angelis. using the link here https://www.mind.uci.edu/donate/#memorial .
Mom will be put to rest at El Toro Cemetery in Lake Forest, CA on May 6th at 2:00 PM.
Mom, keep dancing, keep up the laughter and be sure you are always the last one to leave the party!
