We were gone when Pat’s memorial was held and I felt bad that we could not be there. I have known Pat since First Grade but was never really a good friend. I do not think I ever really talked to him in High School! I came to enjoy the reunions so much because I realized how much I valued those days at St. Emydius and Pius X. And Pat, bless his heart, still treated me like a special friend. My husband, Warren, and myself enjoyed two wonderful visits with Pat at his beautiful home in Laguna Beach. The first visit was so fun as we had a marathon dinner with Pat, Pam Ooley and John Clark, eating and drinking (wine) our way through the day! The second visit, last New Years, was sad because Pat was in a lot of pain and yet, he still wanted us to come and visit. I appreciated his sincere friendliness to us. May he be resting in peace now.
