January 10, 1956 – September 23, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela McGee Adams, age 61. After fighting a valiant battle with brain cancer, Pam died peacefully, surrounded by close friends and family in her home in Mission Viejo, California, on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

Born January 10, 1956, the eldest child of William Clyde McGee Jr. and Cornelia Scott Cree, Pam grew up in Raleigh, NC, where she attended William G. Enloe High School. Pam later went on to graduate with a BS in Business Administration from Oral Roberts University in 1978, and in 1998 she received her MBA from the University of California at Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business.

Pam Adams was the Managing Director of Investments and Founder of The Adams Financial Group of Wells Fargo Advisors. She was previously employed at Armstrong World Industries from 1979 – 2000. Pam was an incredible connector, philanthropist and a passionate supporter of many Orange County organizations and associations including: the UCI Center for Investment and Wealth Management Financial Literacy Program, a Founding Chair of UCI’s Dean’s Leadership Circle, Girls Inc., Orange County Big Brothers Big Sisters, Women’s Sage, and Women Investing in Security and Education, NAWBO-OC, and ProVisors.

Pam leaves her sister, Sandy McGee; mother, Cornelia Cree; brother, Cornell McGee; sister-in-law, Cathy McGee; nieces and nephews: Molly McGee Vidovich (Justin), Annie Laurie McGee, William Chip McGee; her great-niece Sadie Gray Vidovich; her godson, Michael Traber, her goddaughter. Erin Traber, and countless friends who loved her dearly.

A memorial service will be held in honor of Pam on Sunday, October 1st, at 2:00 PM at the Paul Merage School of Business (4293 Pereira Drive. Irvine, CA 92697), UCI’s Campus in Irvine, followed immediately by a reception to celebrate her life and the incredible impact she made on all who knew her.
