Palmina Ann
Catalano
July 26, 1936 – October 29, 2018
Palmina (Polly) Ann Catalano
On October 29, 2018, our dear Lord and His angels called Palmina Ann Catalano to be part of his forever kingdom.
Polly was married to Mike, her loving and devoted husband for 63 years, until his Invitation into Heaven. She was broken hearted when he left her and our world. She was given a new address – to be with Mike and to spend eternity together.
She is survived by her loving and so very grateful daughters, Josephine and her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Schulman (St. Louis) and younger daughter, Gina Marie and husband Thomas Yates Exley (Rhode Island).
Polly was in the secretarial field for most of her life, retiring from Coldwell Bank/CARTUS. She volunteered at Mission Viejo Hospital at their “welcome desk” and made everyone feel welcomed, always with a hello, kind word, and inquisitive nature, becoming an instant part of your life.
Polly loved anything that Mike loved: they followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, shared a lunch, and always wanted to know where the other was – so attending. They were 2 peas in a pod. Every day they had a “date”. She loved to cook, always brought a tasty dish to the party, and passed that magic onto her girls. She loved shopping and going to lunch with her girlfriends, which always included Mike. Her emails and phone conversations will be missed. But most of all, her genuine love for her girls will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, at St. Kilian Church, 26872 Estanciero Dr, Mission Viejo, California 92691. The Rosary will be said at 10:00 am, with services following at 10:30 am. A procession will follow after church services to Ascension Cemetery, 24754 Trabuco Road, Lake Forest, California 92630.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated by Special Olympics Missouri, Attn: Jocelyn Diehl, 2945 S. Brentwood Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63144 in memory of Palmina C. Catalano.
