  1. Vicki Owens says:

With love to the family. Sandra, I will be thinking about you often as you go through this life’s transition, and will be comforted that you have such a loving family to be there for you and such incredible memories of your’s and Steed’s rich and full life together. With love, Vicki

  2. Sorry we couldn’t be there with you, Sandy.

  3. The entire Tyson family. Our sincere sympathy to each of you. Although we had not been around the family in the last 13 years, we still felt close by. Steed kept in touch va e-mail and we sxchanged many stories. He will certainly be missed by all that knew him.

  4. Sandy and Family-I just read of Steed’s passing in our local paper.
I do not believe I had the pleasure of meeting you, but I worked closely with Steed for a number of years at MSFC in Huntsville and while he was Resident Office Chief at Sacramento and later Huntington Beach. Early, I was in the Saturn Project Office and later worked with Steed as the Skylab Deputy Program Mgr.
While I unfortunately lost touch with Steed, I well remember his outstanding characteristics of being determined to perform his job well while at the same time always being upbeat and optimistic regardless of the work difficulties. As with the other writers, I can still picture clearly, even 40 years later, his ready smile and enthusiasm for his work in helping our country get safely to the moon and back. I join his many friends across the country in knowing that your memories of him will give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
