  2. I am so saddened by hearing of Jeannie’s passing. We were high school friends and rode to school together everyday. We spent so much tome together and Jeannie was genuine and compassionate to the core. She was always there when I needed someone to talk to. Rest in peace sweet lady. My prayers go out to the family during this difficult time.

Awww. I just heard about Jeannie’s passing. She was the little girl who lived down the road who was nice to everyone. One of my lasting memories of her was climbing through the framework of the unfinished houses in the neighborhood swinging from the rafters like they were monkey bars. She has a wall of honeysuckle bushes in her backyard that we spent hours getting the nectar from and plum trees and once a family of o’possums took up residence there. Reading through the comments, it appears that she continued to be the kind and lovely soul that I remember her as back then, My condolences to her family and friends…

  4. Jeannie and I met as little girls when she lived down the street from me. We lived on soy bean fields and spent a lot of time building forts, riding bikes and climbing apple trees by our house. I remember her as a very sweet and quiet girl with the prettiest long blonde hair. Her mother made the best red beans and rice and seemed to have it on the stove every time I was there. Jeannie helped me pack to move to Arizona at 16, wrote me lots of letters and then she came to visit me a few times. I think of her often and was so sad to learn of her passing. I tried to find her when I was in Sumter last year and always thought I would see her again. My prayers for her family. Teresa Lee Ferrin
