Obituary

Norma was the heartstring that bound her family together, and was loved by all who knew her. She was more than a wonderful mother and grandmother; we were also blessed to call her our friend. We will miss her genuine warmth, generous love and gracious spirit. She was happily married for 65 years to her childhood sweetheart, Jack. Norma was widowed in 2004 and is survived by one daughter, Marva, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

As we mourn the loss of happiness she brought us, we also celebrate her life, knowing her joy is complete as she is reunited with her Lord, beloved husband and two daughters, Gail and Jeri. Visitation-Tuesday, April 11th 6-8 p.m. O’Connor’s Mortuary 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills. Graveside service will take place on April 12th at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Orange at 11:00 a.m.

  1. As friends of Norma’s daughter Marva, we were privileged to know and love Norma. It was obvious that she adored her family and extended family. We will miss her humor, her graciousness and her devoted love. She was the epitome of motherhood.

  2. To Norma’s Family,
Growing up, Norma was my second Mom. Jeri & I were best friends and I spent a lot of time at her house. I have so many fond memories of her and Jeri. I feel like I never got to see them enough in this life but am blessed that they were a big part of my life in my younger days. It is heartwarming to know she will be united again with Jack, Jeri and Gail. My condolences to all her family and loved ones.
    Much Love,

  3. Marva, I am so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know your mom but recognized picture of your dad. He worked with my husband, Jim Brown. Jim died in 2000 and then I lost my youngest son, Steve, this last Christmas. My dad always told us “Grief can either make you or break you; it’s up to you how you handle it.” I believe this to be true since our Lord told us He will never put more on us than we can bear. I truly believe this.
God bless and keep you and your family though this time of sorrow.
    Helen
