Obituary

Rofoli, Noel A.

My beloved husband, Noel A. Rofoli, age 75, left us on June 22, 2020 from our home of 33 years in Laguna Niguel, CA surrounded by his wife, Mary, and children, Patrick and Elizabeth.

Noel was born in Papaikou, HI, to his parents Demetrio and Conchita Rofoli. In 1961, Noel’s family moved to Long Beach, where he graduated in 1963 from Wilson High School. He then enlisted in the USAF and became a Sergeant serving 1 1/2 years in the Vietnam War during 1965-1967. Upon release from active duty, he joined the Santa Ana Police Department. After 11 years on the force, he changed careers to the composite distribution business, becoming the California District Manager with North American Composites until his retirement in 2015. Noel and I exchanged wedding vows on August 1, 1981 in Newport Beach. We shared much joy during our 38 years of marriage. My husband enjoyed many passions including golfing, sailing and spending time with his family. Noel is predeceased by his parents and 2 children, Kimberly and Dimitri. He is survived by his siblings, Dennis, Corliss Houston, and Stanley, 6 nieces and nephews. He is beloved by my family of many brothers, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Legion, Newport Harbor Post 291, 215 15th Street, Newport Beach, CA 92663, Veteran Emergency Assistance Fund, are appreciated.

This is a very sad moment and my heart and hugs go out to Mary . Noel was always the bigger man when I had doubts of what to do he openly said you have always been my family and was consoling after so much lost time because of my insecurities we talked and shared the past. Noel was one who never dwelled in the past but always looking toward to the future where I know he found the love of his life Mary . May my brother have peace and knowing you are loved and never forgotten.

  3. Sending prayers out to Noel’s family. I knew Noel through North American Composites and always founding Noel to be a happy, helpful man. So sorry to hear of your loss.

  5. Uncle Noel’s entry into the family began with one of the best weddings of my life! And I was only 12! Always quick with a story, his laugh was one of a kind. He knew how to live, enjoying time on the water in his various boats, loved his family dearly.
My heart goes out to all missing Noel. I am sure he is watching over all of us, letting us know he’s at peace. Time goes so fast. Cherish every moment.ºŠ
