Neera Louisa Robbins Singhal , 78, died peacefully in Laguna Hills, August 12, 2021.

She is survived by her four children:  Sanjay Singhal of Winthrop Harbor, IL; Shelly Singhal of San Marino, CA; Shalini Patrick (Singhal) of Kenosha, WI and Sascha Singhal of Buffalo Grove, IL.

She is also survived by five grandchildren: Nicky, Ryan, Kelly, Joy and Alayna.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mahendra, 1998, and her daughter, Shameena, 2020.

Neera was born in India February 9, 1943 to Ronald Julian and Maria Patricia Robbins.  She moved to South Dakota in 1967 with her husband and two young boys.  In South Dakota, she had two daughters.  In 1977, the family moved to Winthrop Harbor, IL, where her fifth child, a son, was born.

In 1995, Neera graduated from Gateway Technical College with an RN degree.  She worked at Kenosha Memorial until moving to California in 2005.

It was in California where she retired from nursing and found happiness in spending time with her grandchildren.

Neera was a lifelong Elvis fan and an avid Chicago Bears fan.  It was her great joy to be at Super Bowl XLI in 2006.

She loved to discuss politics and was a member of the Democratic Club in her community of Laguna Woods Village.

She was a loving mother and a devoted grandmother.
