Nancy Catherine Payne was the widow of fallen hero Master Gunnery Sergeant Lawrence Edward Payne. Nancy was a schoolteacher. She taught school in the Tustin Unified School District at Helen Estock Elementary School for 36 years. She was a long time resident of Lake Forest, California.

She is survived by her sister Vera and her brother Rudy; her two sons Larry and Kevin; and seven grandchildren Nichole, Courtney, Thomas, Eisha, Jamelia, Amanda and Sarah. We will always love and miss you!

Vigil service will be at O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills, on Sunday, December 6, 7-9pm. The funeral services will be held at 10am on Monday, December 7 at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church followed by burial at El Toro Memorial Park.
