Nancy Irene McHugh

1941 – 2026

Nancy Irene McHugh, 85, of Mission Viejo, California, passed away on September 13, 2026.

Nancy was born and raised in Dearborn, Michigan. She was a hardworking legal secretary, a devoted homemaker, a loving mother and wife, and, without much question, the boss of the McHugh family.

Nancy shared her life with her beloved husband, (Bud) Marvin Page McHugh. Together, Nancy and Bud built a wonderful life filled with family, friendships, hard work, and an incredible amount of travel.

Nancy was strong-willed, independent, hardworking, generous, social, and unforgettable. She loved traveling, square dancing, entertaining, dressing beautifully, and spending time with Bud. Above all, she loved her family and the enormous circle of friends who became family along the way.

Nancy is survived by her children, Renee Dimaya (Jeffery Dimaya), Bradley McHugh (Juile McHugh) James McHugh (YaYa McHugh), and her grandchildren, Ashley Johnston, (Jeff Johnson), Derrick McHugh, John Dee, Dominic Dimaya (Alexa Dimaya) and Danielle Dimaya, and one great grandchild Hunter Dee, along with the many friends and extended family members whose lives she touched over her 85 years.

Nancy was someone you did not easily forget. She lived fully, loved deeply, traveled widely, welcomed people generously, and made lifelong friendships wherever she went.

A service celebrating Nancy's life will be held at O'Connor Mortuary in Laguna Niguel, California, on Monday, September 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Her family invites those who knew and loved Nancy to join them in remembering and celebrating a remarkable woman.
