Obituary

Nancy L. Scuderi, nee Furforo, born October 4, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the age of 68. A longtime resident of Chicago, Nancy moved to Aliso Viejo, California in 1999. Nancy loved the Southern California weather from the first time she stepped off the plane.

Nancy was the center of her family, bringing a light and energy to every family gathering and making each and every member of the family feel special. Nancy also thrived on and drew satisfaction from her work and a job well-done. After working as a consultant for various firms both in Chicago and Orange County, she founded her own company, Cobalt Professional Associates in 2004 with her daughter, Christine. Never one to stand still, Nancy went on to follow her dreams, launching Barista Bath and Body, a coffee-based beauty brand in 2010 with the help and support of her extended family.

Her family is comforted in the knowledge that she is reunited with her brother, James; her parents Olive and Angelo Furforo; and her dear cousin Rita Gray (Mathis).

Nancy is survived by her husband Joseph; daughter Christine (Daniel) Willett; son Joseph (Dawn) Scuderi; and the greatest joys of her life, her four grandchildren Mia Nicole Willett, Joseph Vincent Scuderi, Katherine Elizabeth Scuderi and Nicholas Christian Scuderi. While she battled a swift illness, her end came peacefully with her family at her side.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Nancy’s life with funeral services this Saturday October 4, 2014 at 1:30pm at Corpus Christi Church, 27231 Aliso Viejo Parkway, Aliso Viejo.
