Kingsley, Nancy Fitzgibbon

Age 81 of Laguna Woods, CA, formerly of Elmira, NY, passed away at home on April 2nd, 2017 after an extended illness. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Nancy was born in Dubuque, IA on Nov. 28th, 1935, one of thirteen children.

She was predeceased by her late husband Ronald Kingsley in 2006, and her beloved grandson Eric A. Kraft in 2005. She is survived by her daughters Cindy Kraft (Cary) and Patricia Thompson (John), grandchildren Andrew Ruth, Adam Ruth (Amanda), Katie Thompson, and Kim Kraft, and great-grandson Henrik Ruth.

In her many years in Elmira, NY Nancy worked as a bookkeeper and executive secretary for various local radiostations, as well as Turner Refrigeration. In their leisure time Ron & Nancy spent summer weekends at Paradise Park, playing cards with each other, and spending time amongst family & friends, later retiring to Laguna Woods where they enjoyed many great activities and hosting fun family gatherings.

The family would like to extend their utmost thanks and gratitude to Nancy’s nurse/caregiver, and friend Ms. Olivia Larios for the love, care, and compassion during her time spent with Nancy.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27th at 4:00pm at Laguna Woods Village, Clubhouse Two

  1. NO DOUBT NANCY WAS A TRUE ONE OF A KIND PERSON, A KIND AND TRUE BLUE LADY, I HAVE NEVER KNOWN A REAL FIGHTER & COME BACK KID AS SHE WAS,AND SHE NEVER COMPLAINED IN SOME OF HER DARKEST TIMES! SHE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND HAPPY TO SEE YOU!!! SHE ALWAYS MADE US FEEL SPECIAL!! SHE WILL BE SORELY MISSED!!

  2. Where do I begin, Nancy was a very beautiful person inside & out. I was fortunate enough to have her as a co worker for 6 years and a friend for 28 years. She was like family to me, and for that I am very grateful. Nancy: You may now join your beloved Ron. As you always said “Put the wine in the coconut and drink it all up.” I love you Fancy Nancy!
