Over the last week or so, I have spent a lot of time thinking about things Nancy shared with me. Recently she said that what she liked most about me was that I saw some good in everyone. Recently, Nancy said, “Joan, you are a pain in the ass.” (of course she stuck her tongue out after saying that). I’ve thought alot about those things she said, and what keeps coming back to my mind is that relationships are not about being “perfect,” but rather about perfect moments when you realize how special the relationship is and how nothing can compare to it’s uniqueness, or ever erase the love that binds it. I believe with no doubt, Nancy now is resting in perfect love with our creator. I was blessed to know Nancy. To Cathy and all her family, know that you are in my prayers.
Love, Joan

She was my big sister, and we often joked that she was “much older than me’! She left home in Windsor Ontario to move to CA. when I was just 12 years old. We thought we would never see her again!!! Boy, were we wrong!
What a blessing she has been to me over the years. She supported me in good times and bad – always ready with a strong word of encouragement or discipline – whatever was needed. I miss her terribly, but I know where she is, and I know I’ll see her again one day. As she left us, there was a whole crowd of folks on the other side, saying, “Here she comes!!! Welcome, welcome, glad you’re here!! ”
See you soon Cathy, we love you and will be there right beside you.
