Nancy (Nana) Dorn

Nancy (Nana) passed away peacefully on Friday August 14. She lived in Mission Viejo for the past 40 years and enjoyed taking care of her yard, going for walks with her dog Lucy, getting to visit with family and friends, and watching the sunset at one of our many local beaches. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother (Nana), aunt and friend to so many. Nancy leaves behind three boys and four grandchildren.

Nancy had a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her kindness and generosity extended far beyond her immediate family. She was deeply committed to her friends and to the people who crossed her path, always making the effort to create real and lasting connections. Those who knew her will remember the warmth of her presence, her caring heart, and the sincere interest she took in the lives of others.

Although her absence leaves an immeasurable loss, the love she gave so freely will continue through the people whose lives she touched. Nancy was a woman who understood that the greatest gift we can give one another is our time, our kindness, and our genuine connection. She gave those gifts generously, and she will be profoundly missed and forever loved.

For several years Nancy has volunteered to help with a local organization called Heart and Home which provides services to families who have welcomed vulnerable children into their homes through foster care, guardianship or adoption. In honor of Nancy the family is asking that any gift or donation you wish to give be directed to Heart & Home.
