  1. My Deepest Condolences to both the Chavez and Spellman Families,

I am stunned by this heartbreaking news. Having been with Michelle through our education at St. Bede and Flintridge Sacred Heart, I knew how the light of life and love shone from her. I remember those years fondly and treasure having been blessed to know wuch a wonderful woman.

    On Eagles Wings Michelle!

    Lovingly
    Michaela (Illig) Bush

  2. Michelle was such a vivacious and happy person to be around. I so enjoyed working with her and she always brightened my day. I too remember how she loved having her picture taken with celebrities and was so impressed when she had one taken with Donald Trump. She was definitely a shining light to the world and will be missed by us all. You have my deepest sympathy and know she will always be in my heart.

    God bless!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Michelle’s passing. I met Michelle at CAC many years ago. I had rarely worked with anyone that had as much energy and vitality and love for the work she did and the people she worked with. Michelle’s laughter and smile and genuine affection for those around her was infectious. My heart goes out to Michelle’s family at this time of tremendous loss. Mary Gross

  4. Dear Sarah, Tommy, Arlene and Mike; There is nothing I can say to take away the sorrow and sadness, and boy do Stephanie, Isabella and I share these emotions with you. I am still in shock and find it difficult to speak (write). But I wanted to express the love we have for Michelle. My faith tells me that Michelle is happy and truly blessed to be with God. Now we have another Chavez Angel to watch over us. We will honor her by always remembering her spirit, laughter, love for family and loving heart. We will keep her alive in our hearts forever.
In the movie the “preacher’s wife”; Densil Washington is sent to earth as an Angel. He comes upon a young boy that was saddened by the loss of his friend. He tells the young boy…
Do you remember playing and can you still hear the laughter of your friends voice?
Do you remember the smile on his face?
That’s because when God takes someone away from us he leaves what was most important to us!

I can still hear her laughing with my mother Ellie at the jazz concert 🙂
It was a very quiet song and everyone was intently watching the singer… then I heard her and my mom talking and my mom assuring Michelle it was ok to talk and have fun..
Then my mom said something to make Michelle uncontrollable start laughing. Then everyone’s attention was on Michelle. In Michelle’s way she put a finger over hear mouth to indicate to the entire club that she understood to be quiet (sssh). Then my mom told her it was ok for her to laugh and then they both broke out in laughter with not a care in the world other than their friendship and happiness in their Hearts.

Love Michael, Stephanie and Isabella Chavez

  5. In Memory of my beautiful cousin Michelle. I will always cherish the fact that my best childhood memories include you, Jeff and Michael.

I will remember fondly getting married and having babies together.
    Having lunch with our moms.
Fun times at the beach house reunions.
    Your beautiful smile,
    warm hugs,
    contagious laughter
    and sweet spirit.

You, Jeff, Ricky and Mark. All taken too soon from your family on earth.
I know you were welcomed in heaven by so many that loved you.

Until we meet again our sweet Michelle.

    your cousin,

    Pam

    The Broken Chain

    We little knew that day,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.
    You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.

    You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.

    Our family chain is broken,
    And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
    The chain will link again.
