Obituary

Michael Ray Franklin, age 42, of Irvine, CA, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 in Irvine. Born January 26, 1971, in Oklahoma City, OK he grew up in his hometown of Mustang, Oklahoma, attending Mustang Public Schools and graduating from Mustang High School. Michael was an accomplished and sought after senior executive combining 20 years in the technical service and repair industry of large multinational corporations. He was employed by Toshiba America, Inc., Irvine, CA. He was both a friend and mentor to many, earning the title of, ‘gentle giant with a heart of gold.’

April 20, 1998, he married the love of his life, Jenny Tang, of Penang, Malaysia. Together they shared a loved-filled life spanning 15 years, during which 3 wonderful children were born to them. He was happiest when doing things with his family. He mastered all things computer at a very young age and never lost his love of technology. He was an avid golfer, loved to play all types of table games and was very competitive.

Survivors include his wife, Jenny Tang Franklin; Children, Michael Tang Franklin, 13; Christine Tang Franklin, 10; and Jacob Tang Franklin, 4; Parents, Anita K. Foreman, of Mustang, OK; Bob & Jean Franklin, of Oklahoma City, OK; Siblings, Tasha Foreman, of Washington District of Columbia; Wayne Longacre, of Oklahoma City, OK; Jamie Brock of Oklahoma City, OK; Grandmother, Frances Franklin, of Mustang, OK, and a host of family and friends.

A viewing will be held at O’Connor Mortuary, located at 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, Wednesday, April 24, 7:00 p.m.
