Obituary

Michael R. Garcia was born on 08/20/1952 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on 07/31/2020 in Irvine CA. Michael was a beloved husband, father, grandpa and brother. He served in the Air Force right out of High School, and met the love of his life shortly after returning home at the age of 23. Michael enjoyed going camping in his RV and off roading in his Jeep with family and friends. He was a lifelong Dodgers and Steelers fan, and loved going to games. Michael also grew up with a deep love of music, his favorite genre being classic rock. He was a Beatles fanatic from his teen years until he passed away.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Virginia, his 4 children Michael Jr, Julina, Ricky, Tommy, 10 grandchildren, son in law Javier, daughters-in-law Claudia, Elaine, sister Toni, and brother Larry. Michael also had a big extended family. He was loved by many, and is already deeply missed.

    To Virginia and all who are o deeply affected by the loss of Michael, may he continue to shine through by the many examples of a great, husband, dad, granddad that he left behind. Live by his will, examples and love he had for you all. Our deeepest condolences. We are sorry we are not able to be there physically, but know that you are all in our hearts and prayers.

  2. What a beautiful service this was, very heartfelt memories of your beautiful family. I’m grateful to have met you and My sis Virginia, you leave a great legacy and example of what a man should be like. I’ll miss our conversations and shared laughter, till I see you again Michael.

    I wish I was there in person to pay my respect. I’m both angry and hurt that you were taken this way! In my heart and mind is where I will always keep you Padrino! Happiness and fond memories is all that comes to mind when I think about you. You were a strong man with a generous and peaceful nature. Your was big and you always put your family first. You were always there for me when I needed you most! I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU! I’m proud that I had such wonderful person as my Godfather! Not only a Godfather to me. But to all that needed you! You and Nina both. Until we meet again. Good journey Padrino!

  4. Uncle Mike is, was and always will be one of the good one’s. God has a plan for us all but this one I just can’t agree with. Your love for your family was second to none. We will miss your laugh, deep voice and all the nick names you would give us. Wish I could be there to support my extended Garcia family. My condolences to the entire Garcia family and friends.
