Michael Jens Solem passed away on Nov 2, 2016. Mike grew up in Azusa, California where his father was the mayor and he went to Citrus High School. He lived in the San Fernando Valley until last year.

He was 76 years old and married to his wife Marlene Solem for 32 years. They had 7 children altogether and Mike was a loving husband, father and Papa.

Before he retired in 1998, he worked in the grocery business for over 42 years. He was the Executive Vice President for Hughes Markets and a member of The California Grocers Association. After his retirement he loved to read, follow the stock market and spend time with his family. Mike was a quiet, kind man who will be missed by all those who knew him.

Mike's Celebration of life Services will be held on Saturday 11/12/2016 at 10:30am at O'Connor Mortuary. Graveside burial will follow immediately at 12pm at El Toro Memorial Park.
