  2. Again death has invaded the Hughes Family Markets of employees taking away our dear friend Mike Solem.

To Marlene and the family I extend my deep and sincere sympathy. May you rely upon your Heavenly Father for comfort to sustain you in this hour of grief.

    R.I.P. Mike!

  3. I grew up with Hughes Markets as my father, David McMahon, was Human Resources Director and I worked in their stores as both a box boy and grocery clerk. All those who worked with my Dad at Hughes were like a second family to me and there were many unforgettable trips and gatherings both on and off duty. Mike Solem was part of this family and I am proud to say that I knew him not just personally, but even more honored to have known him professionally.
I wish him Godspeed, may he forever rest easy, and may the good Lord bless his friends and family and help them find peace and solace in their time of grief.

Mike was a huge influence on the direction my life took. He was at times a friend, a boss and a father figure. He will be missed dearly. No longer with us physically but always in my heart. RIP Mike. Thoughts, prayers and much love for his family.
