Michael Anthony Bowley, 80, passed peacefully on September 5, 2026, after an extensive battle with Alzheimer’s.

Born in the Philippines, Mike was the eldest of four children of Alfred and Juliana Bowley. His parents and brother, Richard, preceded him in death. He is survived by his two brothers, Charles Bowley of Highland, California, and Alan Bowley of Fort Worth, Texas.

Mike was a man of many passions. He loved fishing, spending time and camping at the lake with family and friends, and staying active through karate, where he earned his black belt. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing. Photography became one of his greatest joys, allowing him to capture the people and moments he cherished most. His love of music began as a drummer in his high school band and remained with him throughout his life.

Mike is also survived by his children, Stephanie McEvoy, Mark Mesa-Bowley, Derik Bowley, Michele Bowley, Marissa Bowley, and seven grandchildren. He is mourned by his partner, Joy Parkins, who cared for him at home during his final years.

Mike taught us to stand up for ourselves, to love hard, and to love often. His lessons, laughter, photographs, stories, and memories will remain with us always.

May he rest peacefully beneath endless skies, with calm waters ahead and a fishing line always in his hand. And when we look out across the water, we’ll feel his presence there, reminding us that love never truly leaves us.
