Michael C. Beattie, 52, died of complications following knee surgery at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Mike was the beloved husband of Cheryl; loving father of Katie 31, Erin 28, Tara 26 and Michael 23; and proud grandfather of Emma 2. ?Big Mike? will be affectionately remembered for his honesty, his Faith, and his selfless love and dedication to his family. A rosary vigil is scheduled for 7:00pm on Sunday May 13, 2007 at the O?Connor Mortuary in Laguna Hills. A memorial mass is scheduled for 3:30pm on Monday May 14, 2007 at St. Edward Church in Dana Point. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be sent to the American Cancer Society in his name.
