Michael A. Graves
July 21, 1973 – November 26, 2024

Beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend, Michael A. Graves of Irvine, California joined our Lord in heaven at the age of 51 on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.  Michael was born on July 21, 1973 at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia.  He is survived by his wife, Maria and their two sons, Lucas and Preston; his father, Bill Graves and his spouse, Susan; and his sister, Jennifer Langdon Graves.

Michael grew up in Burke, Virginia and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, where he became a member of the Hokie Nation and a loyal friend to many.  Ever the hard worker, Michael went on to pursue an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine.  His entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him to join the team at Decision Ready Solutions, where he proudly spent the last decade as EVP of Product and Technology.

Among all of Michael’s accomplishments, none brought him greater joy and purpose than being a devoted father to Lucas and Preston and a loving husband to Maria.  His patience, selflessness and gentle nature shone brightest in his unwavering dedication to his family.  Michael enjoyed an active, vibrant lifestyle and was happiest when hiking along the California coast and wandering Yosemite National Park with Maria, Lucas and Preston.

Michael’s warmth and sincerity were felt by all who knew him and especially by the lifelong friends he kept close to his heart.  He will be remembered as a natural mentor to many, providing guidance and support to friends, colleagues and most of all, to his sons.

For those who are able to attend, a funeral mass will be held for Michael on Friday, December 20th at 10am at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church near our home in Irvine, California (details shared below). We will gather for a reception at the church following the service and would love to see you and share in your memories of Michael. Please feel free to pass this on to friends and family.
