Merle “Jay” Jarrett III
May 8th, 1956 – June 13th, 2021
Born in: Loma Linda, California
Resided in: San Clemente, California
Jay passed away on Sunday, June 13th, at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sherry Jarrett, and his daughter, Jennifer Jarrett.
He was a good-natured, kind, and loving man who had many talents and qualities that inspired others. His humor and positive attitude allowed him to keep fighting and maintain a great quality of life. The number of people that will miss him is infinite.
We will always carry his memory in our hearts. He was loved and respected by many.

We are just now hearing this and are just so shocked and saddened. There are too many memories flooding my head and heart right now so I will just say this – Jay was very special and I hate the fact that we lost touch so many years ago. A reminder for all of us to cherish the time with those that make an impact on our lives.

I check in every so often. I agree, my Jay was special in so many ways,
He was not perfect, but perfect for me. We had decided to live our lives and not wring our hands in constant worry. He fought like a warrior.
We laughed many times every day. He had a great laugh.
He was the best person I’ve ever known. Married this amazing guy 43 years ago. Went to high school together.
The thing that was so obvious to me, was his humility.
