The journey of a life started in Kermanshah, Iran, and expanded through his love for education and philosophy that drove his inner desire for growth. At the young age of 14 he left home to go to school 300 miles away in Abadan, this would be his gateway to the world. His journey was accompanied by an amazing Wife Shahla and migrated to California to forge their adult life in a foreign country.

His life was shaped by principles, hard work, passion and the yearning desire to understand the world's issues at large. Through all of life’s changes and challenges, Mehdi carried with him stories of his youth, desire to constantly learn and the love of the arts - especially a broad range of music.

But his greatest accomplishment was the family and life he built. He was a husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a source of knowledge and guidance to those around him. His journey may have begun in Kermanshah, but his legacy lives on here—in his children, his grandchildren, and in the memories, principles and stories that will continue to be passed from one generation to the next.

His biggest lesson was to always challenge herd mentality, the status quo and be a free thinker to ensure one's mind is constantly evolving.

A remarkable journey for a man who started in the outskirts and rose above challenge after challenge to create a loving, curious and well rounded family.
