Goodbye, Megan! You and your family touched my life and were constantly there in one form or another, whether it was your father (Dave) as my principal at Ambuehl, your mother (Karen) as my 8th grade PE teacher at Shorecliffs or you and your sister, Eryn, during our soccer years…every interaction was a positive one and it wasn’t about quantity, it was quality that mattered and the Gerhard family made every moment count. Your family, as well as my own and a handful of others, taught me how families should be there for each other and provide unconditional love, as well as how we should all treat each other. I thank you, and your family, for these gifts. It is a shame we sometimes forget these things until we lose someone as wonderful as you but, I promise, I won’t forget, I will carry your memory with me and I will strive daily to be a better person! Much love to Jody, Cadyn, Karen, Dave, Eryn and, of course, precious baby Tosh.

  2. Dear David, Karen, Jody, Eyrn, Cadyn, & Tosh, My heart is broken for all of you. Though I did not know Megan as an adult, I clearly remember her spirit and joy as a child and teen. Her picture as a flower girl in our wedding is on our mantle. She has always been in my heart and in my daily prayers. I want you to know that we prayed for Megan at each Mass this past Sunday and Tosh is on our prayer line at church. Also, my friends are praying for all of you and continue to ask about you and Tosh. Though we are 3,000 miles apart, we are joined in deep sadness and in prayer. Karen, I am giving you the most heart-felt hug I can; as a mother, I cannot imagine any greater loss.
My love and prayers always, God Mom…Becky

  3. Megan, My heart is broken today, heard of your passing. We were friends and you were so warm and sweet, we made fast friendship in cosmo school. You always were and will be and angel. Im sorry that I hadn’t stayed close. I only wish that I had better been about it! Though we would run into each other time to time, Im sorry, I wasn’t there more. You were taken to soon, but clearly left so much. You touch my life and made many memories I’ll cherish. Silly silly girls, School, Doheny days, and Vegas… We had fun! Thank you for giving so much in the little time God gave!!! Love and Happiness is all i know from you!
