Maxine J. Messina, 89, of Laguna Niguel, California, entered into her eternal Life on Friday, October 29, 2021. Born on January 30, 1932 in Waterloo, Iowa, Maxine was the daughter of the late Alfred and Kathryn Jenson. A longtime resident of Kansas City, Kansas, Maxine had resided in Laguna Niguel since 1992. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother (Noni) and friend, Maxine is survived by her beloved husband of seventy years, Anthony J. Messina; one daughter, Jean A. McCormick and her husband, Michael N. McCormick; one son, Mark S. Messina; two grandchildren, Jennifer McCormick and Jeffrey McCormick; and many dear friends. Maxine lived a full life and was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Tony. Noni enjoyed spending time with her two grandchildren and was a major part of their lives growing up. She instilled good values in her children and grandchildren. She was a friend to all whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Mrs. Maxine Messina will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Her family will receive relatives and friends at a Vigil on Thursday evening, November 11, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653.
