She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard E. Gates, dear mother of Janis (Larry) Marchand, Michael (Brook) Gates, and Kimberly B. Gates and most special grandma of Jesse, Ashley Marie, Susanne and step-grandma to Amber and Ashley Rochelle. Maxine was born in Portland, Oregon to the late Carl J. Kuffler and the late Jennie Colomba Kuffler Von Striver and was a beloved stepdaughter to the late Dorothy B. Von Striver.
