  1. News of Maurice’s death was noted in today’s Fargo Forum. It is with sadness that we read his obituary. However, Bus was a great friend and neighbor to our young family and we enjoyed his warmth and generosity. We shoveled the adjoining driveways together back on 14th Street; Bus had the snowblower and I could afford the shovel.

Bus was like a second grandpa to our children, Katie and Ross. He and Solange donated money to their college fund when they were born. Thanks again. We continue to have fond memories of Maurice and Solange even though our families drifted apart.

Bus was a gentle man and loved his wife, and, oh yes, he was always proud of his children. A special “hello” to Solange. Our prayers are with the family in this time of parting sorrow.

  3. On behalf of my parents and myself, I would like to extend our sympathies to the family on the loss of your husband and father. He was a great guy with a real love of life. I know you have many wonderful memories of him. I read his obit in the Forum this morning and thought I should stop by to visit my dad. He told me you had called him last night to give him the news. Thank you so much for doing that–Maurice was an old and dear friend and he wanted me to let you know we are thinking of you. I know he is spending the day thinking about all the good times they had together.
