Schwenke, Matt, born Aug 12, 1972 in Kankakee Il, died Nov 10, 2009 in Trabuco Canyon suddenly. A graduate of Poway HS '90 and UCLA '99, Matt was drafted by the LA Dodgers in the 9th round of the '93 June draft. He played in the minor leagues for 6 years, retiring in '98 when he met his wife, Barbara. Matt worked as an IT Manager for Palace Entertainment for the past seven years and passionately coached his son's Pop Warner Football and Little League Baseball teams since 2003.

Matt is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Drake and Logan; father, Edward Kathy; mother Ashley Baker Gary; brother Doug; step-brothers, Jason Baker and Jared Baker; half-sister Hayley Baker and step-sister Tina O'Connor.

A Funeral Service will be Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Mariner's Church, 5001 Newport Coast Dr., Irvine, CA. Public viewing will be from 10:30-11:00 a.m., prior to services. In lieu of flowers please visit www.rememberingmatt.com for donation information.
