IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Matthew John
Muro
May 13, 1979 – October 23, 2025
It is with profound love and sorrow that we share the passing of Matthew John Muro, beloved husband of Jacqueline Muro, proud father to Giorgio and Giuliano Muro, loving son to Lloydell and John Muro, and adored brother to Bianca Blanchette, Brittany Kalajian, and Ashley Wills. He is also survived by devoted in-laws, as well as nine loving nieces and nephews. Matthew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Donald Saladino and his great-grandmother, Mary Iacobellis.
Matthew was born on May 13, 1979 (on Mother's Day), in Fresno, California. He was the cherished only son of Lloydell and John Muro and a protective brother to his three sisters. Matthew passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025, in Orange County, California, surrounded by his loving wife and parents, after courageously battling cancer for several years.
On November 12, 2016, Matthew married the love of his life, Jacqueline, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond. They were just weeks away from celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary. He and his beloved wife shared a lifelong passion for travelling the world, creating cherished memories with every new place they explored together. Matthew's greatest accomplishment in life was being a father. His love for Giorgio and Giuliano was boundless. Matthew's strength and determination to live were rooted in his desire to guide, teach, and watch his sons grow up. He cherished the time he spent teaching his sons how to play sports and cheering them on at their games.
As a man of deep spirituality, Matthew found peace and purpose in his relationship with God. He faithfully attended Mass with his family, began many mornings at daily Mass after school drop-offs, and spent quiet moments reading the Bible.
Matthew had a lifelong love of golf, excelling in the sport from a young age and playing competitively through his college years. His laughter, quick-wit, and kindness were felt by many, both on and off the course.
Matthew attended St. Anthony's of Padua School, San Joaquin Memorial High School, and earned a bachelor's degree in communication at Fresno State. Known for his exceptional talent and dedication in sales and real estate, Matthew consistently stood out as a top performer, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. He was grateful to spend his career working alongside close friends, whose companionship and support he deeply cherished.
Matthew leaves behind a legacy of unwavering faith, boundless love, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his charming personality, gentle heart, and the unconditional love he gave so freely to all who knew him.
