Born in Cooperstown, New York
Resident of Mission Viejo, California since 1968.

Married to her sweetheart, John Sheppard for 67 years.

Survived by her husband John, daughter Cindy, son-in-law Darrel.
Grandchildren: Cheri, Mimi, Chris and Sammy.
Great Grandchildren: Breeanna, DJ, Athena, Cruz, Kerenza, Eila, and Odina.
Two children predeceased Patty (27) and Matthew (19).

Mary Lou always had a ready smile and was ready for a good conversation with anyone. She loved children and dogs and devoted her life to teaching and helping others. She pursued knowledge and was always reading or learning something new. She did her daily crossword to keep her mind sharp and continued to volunteer at the Mercy Warehouse in Laguna Niguel up to her last days. She was a ball of energy, you would never guess she was 90. She was exercising when a brain aneurysm hit and passed peacefully within 24 hours. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
