Obituary

Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully the afternoon of Tuesday, October 29th at Hoag Irvine from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Our hearts are broken. Our mom was kind, generous, refined and always smiling.

She loved her family and friends and is survived by her brother James View and his wife Terri, her daughter Amy Doyle, her son, James Doyle, her daughter Anne Grey and her husband, David. She will always be in our hearts.

A funeral mass in her honor followed by a reception in the courtyard will take place on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 10:00AM at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church in Lake Forest, California.

Amy – Again, I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a terrific, generous, and caring person and I’m glad I had the opportunity to know her. I know my mom will be broken-hearted when I break the news to her later.

We will do our best to make it on Monday, but in the meantime, if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call.

    Dear Amy,

A few weeks ago, I never would have expected your sad news. I hope you are not beating yourself up because you were not with your Mother at the end. Since it was peaceful, that is what is really important, and I hope you believe that. And she is at peace and not suffering any more.

I so enjoyed corresponding with her. She seemed like such a lady, which is unusual these days. Also a hard worker with an incredible imagination. Her love for you and Anne, and Jim, came through load and clear. As did her vitality, which makes her death even harder to believe. The fact that she always seemed to be optimistic and cheerful was an inspiration to me.

She was so proud of you.

My thoughts are with you, Anne and David, and Jim. Do keep in touch when you can.

  3. Anne,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. My heartfelt thoughts are with you and your family through this difficult time. The loss of a mother is so very, very hard.

Take care and surround yourselves with love and wonderful memories.

  4. Your Mom was only 12 years older that I am, but I remember how much the younger girl cousins looked up to her. She was always beautiful and charming so sophisticated. As an adult I just loved her sense of humor and style. She had such a loving heart and will be missed by her View cousins.
    Much love to you all,
    Mary View-Schneider

Anne and family, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. How upsetting, though knowing her passing was peaceful certainly is a wonderful thing. Meeting your mother was enriching, and enjoyable. Thinking of you and David right now, and embracing you both.

    With love, Andrew and Todd
