Mary Jane Michel, age 77, entered into eternal peace at her daughter’s home in Laguna Beach, California on May 5, 2008. Born on Guam, Mary moved to the mainland in 1950 where she resided in California, Hawaii and Nevada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dehlbert C. Michel. Mary was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Ed Linda, Diana Gary, Bud, Rita Eric, Bob, Foot Sandi, Sam, Mimi Michael, Debra Kunani and her 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mary lived her life with kindness and compassion and touched many lives. She will be dearly missed. Rosary will be recited in the chapel at O’Connor Mortuary, Laguna Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 11. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 12, at 8:00 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 1140 Evergreen St., San Diego, CA 92106. Interment will follow at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, at 9:00 a.m. The family requests contributions to Make-A-Wish Foundation, www.wish.org, in lieu of flowers.
