Mary Jenkins

Mary Jenkins, 89, passed away peacefully on January 28 at the family home in Mission Viejo, cared for by daughter Jane (with husband Charlie), and leaving a crowd of loving family and friends-who-are-family who will miss her deeply.

With her husband, Bruce, who passed in 2002, Mary was a devoted mother—not just to her own brood, but to countless others. She brought cheerfulness and acceptance to everyone she met. Her love quietly made a difference in many, many lives; she embodied joy and provided comfort, encouragement and love to anyone who needed.

Mary will be missed by countless friends and by her family: brothers Chet (Dora) and Jim (Cheryl), children Lys (Russell), Rob, and Jane (Charlie), grandchildren Michael (Alexis), David (Balor), Brian (Becki), Keilah (Anthony), Diane, and Sarah (Chase), and a slew of wonderful great-grandchildren.

There will be a picnic this summer for family and friends to gather and celebrate Mary's life. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please take the time to honor Mary by being love for someone else. You have the power to make a difference like she did.
