I was blessed to live next door to Jeanette for 8 years. She was always there for me: for support, for encouragement & for celebrations! Always ready with a smile, a hug, great music & willing to listen! Since I moved, I saw her less frequently but when I did, she always welcomed me home like a prodigal son. Her warmth was something I could always count on. With tears running face, I am playing some great rock ‘n’ roll music & remembering the joy & sometimes strange fun we had together. I wish I’d been better about visiting! She’ll be missed! The world lost a wonderful woman but I’ll make sure the memories & stories get passed on!

We always looked forward to family gatherings that included the “crazy lady”, Jeanette. You were love by the Arroues kids for your wit and loving ways. I trust she will be giving my pop a hug and my grandma grief. God bless you Randy.

Jeanette, you have been in my life for so long. Please remember the good times, Randy and all of us living together, Estancia High and don’t forget Palm Springs. Vince and I loved you and will be sorely missed.
    I love you

Some months ago my wife and I brought Jeanette with us to one of my gigs at a restaurant. While I was playing I noticed that she was squirming in her seat, looking around. She abruptly rose and approached a table of 4 or 5 young women who were alternately chatting and looking at their phones. She addressed the group while making “let’s go” gestures and, sure enough, the girls were persuaded to join her on the dance floor. Later, during another song, she went to the bar and literally pulled a man to the dance floor where he had an unexpected good time. It was this kind of joie de vivre that would snap people out of their reveries and enjoy themselves. The world needs people like Jeanette Roper. It is a poorer place for her passing.
