Obituary

Mary Frances Simmons, 84, was born December 31, 1923 in New Jersey and passed away September 18, 2008 at home in Lake Forest, CA. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard D. Simmons in 1995. A retired secretary who worked for the Corn Products Corporation CPC, Mary is survived by her son, Michael Jean Simmons; daughters, Kathleen Simmons and Ellen Richard T. Shamrell ; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A Visitation and Rosary will be Sunday 9/21/08 from 4:00-6:00pm at O’Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA. Funeral Mass will be Monday, 9/22/2008 at 10:00am at Santiago de Compostela Catholic Church, Lake Forest, CA Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Lake Forest, CA In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary’s name to the Susan G.   1. Dear Kathleen, Ellen and Mickey,

    I was talking to my sister today September 25, and she told me of the passing of your mother. I’m very sorry. Please accept my sincere condolences.

    I remember your mother and father well as a kid and as a young man, growing up in Bayonne. I also have fond memories of times at the shore in Beach Haven. The last time I saw your parents was in Las Vegas on the occasion of the marriage of my sister’s daughter, Joy.

    My thoughts go out to you at this sad time.
