Mary Margaret De John

On Tuesday, July 5th, Mary Margret De John passed away at the age of 62 after battling Cancer for eight years. She left her husband, Steven Wangelin, and her two sons, William and Zackary, too soon.

Mary was born on September 24th, 1959, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She moved to Southern California at a young age but stayed true to her roots, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers throughout her life. Mary always had a kind heart and a willingness to help others, which she passed on to her sons. Mary managed whole communities of people with love and compassion throughout her professional life. She found a lot of joy in her sisters, nieces, and nephews, her dog Bowser, her grandchildren Charles and Scarlet, and the ocean.

Some of her last words to her family were, "Be happy and love each other."

Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Angeline, father, Robert Sr., and two siblings, Diane and Robert Jr. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022, at O'Connors Mortuary in Laguna Hills, CA.
