Obituary

Our dear friend, Mary Cimiluca peacefully passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd, after a decades-long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Our hearts are grieving but we know she is happy in Heaven and with her dear husband, Don.

While excelling at everything she did, from anesthesiology to entrepreneurship, she also suffered great loss in he life, leading her to strongly embrace her faith and her passion for Viktor Frankl’s lessons of living a life of meaning.

Mary had close friends on the East and West coasts and there will be two services to celebrate her life. Her Memorial Service will take place at 10am on Thursday, December 6th at Holy Trinity Church in Ladera Ranch, California. The Funeral Mass will take place at 10am on Thursday, December 20th at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Alexandria, Virginia and Burial immediately following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Mary Cimiluca Memorial Fund at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, www.fundraising.stjude.org

    My Dear Mary and friends

Was very unhappy to hear this news recently. She is now happy in heaven with her family and most of all suffering is over.

We had some great times together here in Alexandria…….she was an exceptional, loving and great lady…..have missed her since she moved to CA.

Plan to attend her service at St. Mary’s.
