Obituary
Mary Anna Eagen (Gardner), a long-time resident of Lake Forest, California, died quietly at home on Sunday, March 12th at the age of 85. She was born in the Los Angeles area in 1931. She is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren, and only sister.
She spent her childhood in Santa Monica, attended Santa Monica City College, and earned a Bachelor degree from UCLA. She was married for 50 years to Jack Eagen and together they raised four children. Mary Anna lived her life with a quiet and unassuming demeanor. She liked to observe people and was a wonderful conversationalist. She enjoyed classical music, beautiful weather, country drives, travel, and listening to her favorite radio programs. In addition, she liked working with (“directing”) her husband doing yard work at their home. She had a quirky sense of humor, and took great pleasure in chocolate in its many forms.
Mary Anna had a personal relationship with Jesus and is now in His presence along with her husband.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 26th at 1:00pm at O’Connor Mortuary at 25301 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653. Directions may be found at oconnormortuary.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to suggest donations to one of Mary’s favorite organizations:

If memory serves me correctly, I was the flower girl at her wedding! Oh, how I adored Mary Anna and Jack. I remember as a child they would take me for drives in their red convertible. My mother Janis Launder Hoffman would tell us stories about the escapes of herself, Enid and Mary Anna in high school. Mary Anna had such class and poise about her. Rest in peace sweet Mary.
